1. What we collect

When you create an account: email address, name, year of study/role, specialty interest, dominant hand, and training goal. During use: game session data (scores, accuracy, timing, economy of motion), XP, level, streak data, and device/browser metadata collected with each feedback submission. We do not collect payment card details — all payment data is handled by Paddle.

2. How we use your data

• To operate your account and display your progress.
• To compute anonymised, aggregated percentile distributions for the Benchmark table (individual scores are never exposed to other users).
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, trial and subscription reminders).
• To improve the platform based on anonymised usage patterns.

3. Controller

SteadyHands acts as the data controller for the personal data described above.

4. Data storage

Your data is stored in a managed cloud database service. Data is stored in the EU/US region as configured by the provider. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with:

• Our cloud database and authentication provider (hosting your account and progress).
• Paddle, our merchant of record, for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Analytics services connected to the app to measure aggregate usage.
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not share identifiable data with advertisers.

6. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to keep the service secure and improve it), and consent where required.

7. Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Account deletion removes your profile and session data from our system within 30 days.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@getsteadyhands.com. Depending on your jurisdiction you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, to portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on user data.

10. Cookies

SteadyHands uses session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

11. Children

SteadyHands is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
